Cardiac Monitor
A cardiac monitor displays a visual readout of the rhythm of the heart. The information the cardiac monitor provides is very useful, especially during a heart attack when one can suddenly develop a deadly cardiac rhythm.
A cardiac monitor connects to a patient through three sticky patches on the chest. These patches are attached to the monitor through wires. The cardiac monitor is set up to notify the physicians and nurses if the heart rate of the patient rises higher or dips beneath a predetermined number.
